A Question for All you Moms!

Recently we started Hunter on cereal, he had been doing really good with eating it until he got sick. He didn't want a thing to do with it. Well...now that he is doing a lot better we've decided to give it a try again. Not only does he refuse to eat it, he develops a rash on his chin after attempting to feed it to him. Does this mean he has an allergy to it? I read online that there could be a delayed reaction to an allergy. As in...he did good for a little while eating it but just now is developing a rash. What do you all think?

Is he on rice cereal or oatmeal? Ask his dr. if you can switch to a different kind, if he's on rice try oatmeal and vice versa. Also what are you mixing it with? Water, formula, breast milk or juice? formula or breast milk is best.

Hey Kelli, I'm so glad your back to posting...Hunter is a Sweetie Pie. I would say there is a good chance he could be allergic. The comment above is what I would try. Tammy Shank's little girl had bad food allergies and every time they started a new food she would get a bad cold!!! It took her months before the doctors would test her allergies, so be persistant...sometimes the doctor can give you the run around.

Take care Beth Smith
