InstaFriday

I've linked up with Jeannett with Life.Rearranged for an Insta-Friday. Pictures through out your week, but through the eye of your cell phone. I tried to use my Instagram App, but apparently my iPhone is too old for that app to work anymore. So plain old cell phone pictures is what you get!

Who doesn't love Flo??? A Flo Bobble Head...Jackpot!

I stopped at a local pumpkin patch in town. They had these painted gourds. Of course I had to get these two to represent my boys!

This is what happens when your Husband actually has to pick out the clothes and dress your children. He squeezes a 4 year old into size 12 month pants.

Who gets a refund from their hospital? This chick does!! I cashed it quickly before they changed their mind :)

This sweet little tongue hangs out about 90% of the time.

Speaking of this little boy...never let your guard down. Because when you least expect it, you will be showered in pee!!

The boys and I cruised the isles of Hobby Lobby. I found the dream Christmas Tree for my living room.12 ft Tall!!! Downfall: The $999 Price Tag. But it is Hobby Lobby...so it was on sale for $599. Still a NO!!!

Hope Everyone had a great week!!

Doctor Check Ups

Today I got the pleasure of taking both boys to the doctor for their check ups. Hunter's 4yr Appt and Weston's 6 month Appt. Talk about a chore! The nurses were really great at helping balancing the process between the two of them. That was until it was time for shots. Hunter got three shots and Weston got two. DRAMA! In less than a minute, both boys had their shots and then both nurses were gone. There I was in a small doctor's office with two screaming boys!! AGH!! Of course Weston quickly recovered from the trauma, but Hunter spent the rest of the day limping around and pouting.

Hunter's Stats:
Height: 41 Inches
Weight: 38.2 Lbs

Weston's Stats:
Height: 26 1/4 Inches (25%)
Weight: 17 lbs 11 oz (50%)
Head Circ: 45.5 cm (90%)

I scheduled the boy's appointment's together so I could avoid taking additional time off of work. But after today, I may reconsider this or at least bring reinforcements!

Time for a Change

Ok, Maybe it is more of a big change. For those who know me, know I have generally had long blonde hair...forever. Every once in awhile I would cut it pretty short and or grow it out my natural hair color. Which is dull brown color. I have been really wanting to do something different. So, I did!

I tried to find a before picture. But I am usually the one behind the camera, so I didn't have much of a selection. But here you go. This pictures was taken in May so it had grown out quite a bit since then.

Anyway....

I cut it off!!! (This is a picture of the hairdresser's floor after cutting my hair)

But that wasn't it...

I went dark...very dark!!!

Ta..Da!!!

Talk about a Bi-Polar Difference. I really like it!

After one day, I can tell people don't recognize me in town. And at work customers keep taking a second look before realizing it is me. Before long, they will all forget what I looked like as a blonde!

Birthday Celebration

This morning I went and woke Hunter up and wished him a Happy Birthday. He proceeded to ask me if Santa brought him some presents. I said no, it wasn't Christmas and that he would get his presents tonight. The look of disappointment flooded his face. That was until he walked down the hallway to the stairs and looked down into our living room where Andy and I had blown up 20 balloons and had them spread everywhere, as well as some Happy Birthday signs. Hunter loved it! He kept telling me "Thank You Mommy, Thank You!!" If only I had known he was going to be completely content with some balloons, I could have saved some money on his present. Who am I kidding??? I still would have got him something.

Here he is this morning covered in some balloons.

Loving his new bike!

Helping Daddy Make a Few Adjustments.

 And we are off...

He is not used to when you peddle backwards that the causes you to break. He'll figure it would with time.

Cake Time! I got him a DQ ice cream cake. Yummy!!!

Making a few more wishes, but else could he really ask for?

Such concentration.

As we put Hunter to bed, he said "Thank you for my birthday party." How sweet it that? His actual Birthday Party with the family is this weekend. I can only imagine his excitement.

Happy Birthday Hunter!

How is is possible that Hunter is 4 years old today? How do we freeze time so that he will quit growing and be my little boy forever? Makes you appreciate the little things everyday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!!!

Now a little trip down memory lane!!!

The Beginning...
1st Birthday...

 2nd Birthday...
 3rd Birthday
 Today...
To Be Continued...For Many, Many Years!

Weston's First Haircut

It was finally due for Weston to get his haircut. Ok, maybe he was a little over due. He was rocking some long hair on top that had to be swept to the side. His hair was the absolute definition of a comb over. He also had some long hair on the side that had some curl in them. We referred to to them as his "devil horns"

Here are a couple before pictures. These still don't give justice to the madness.

I brought along the Bumbo chair for him to sit in. It worked perfectly. I was able to take pictures of the process instead of holding him in my lap.

The haircut wouldn't be complete without the cape.

"Seriously Mom?"

He did sooo good!

"Whatcha think Mom?"

"Ya, that is what I thought. I'm lookin' Good!"

"Hmmm, I don't recongnize that boy anymore"

The first haircut is always the saddest. You arrive with a baby and leave with a little boy.

First Time Meeting

My brother-in-law, Abe was deployed to Afghanistan just days before Weston was born. Even while on the other side of the world, we asked him to be Weston's godfather. He may not have been able to attend his baptism, but we are happy for him to guide Weston for the rest of his life. Abe just recently returned home and tonight Weston finally got to meet him :)

Rewind

Lets do a quick catch up on some highlights that have went on the last 11 Months and 17 Days since my last post.

We finally finished the construction of our house! Yay! Just days before Christmas. The decorating is still a work in process. I am overwhelmed with many ideas from Pinterest. Plus the need for family pictures to incorporate in the decorating.
On March 13, 2012 at 4:48am Weston Ronald Schwartze was born. 5lbs 15oz, 18.5 inches long. (At a nearly record breaking time...if I do say so myself)

On March 31st, Weston was admitted into the hospital for a UTI that resulted in a 10 day hospital stay.

On May 4th, Hunter was taken to the ER because a dresser and TV fell on him (let me re-phrase that...fell on his face)

Returned back to work after 8 weeks of maternity leave. Work is busier than ever...and I love it!

I celebrated my last birthday in my twenties.

We got a puppy, named Mater. I bet you can't guess who came up with the name! He is cute little thing...but wild :)

My brother and his wife Annelise are expecting their first child in December...A Boy!!!

My brother-in-law Abe completed a 6 month deployment to Afghanistan. Big Thank you to him!!

That is all the major eventful things that have gone on (that I can think of). I will probably elaborate more on some of these events at a later time while it is fresh in my mind so we can go back and look at how far we have come.

I am Back...Again!

After much thought, I have decided to dive back into the world of blogging. While free time to write tends to be pretty scarce, there are many reason's why I should continue.
  • I love looking back at my prior post. It is like an online scrapbook. Especially seeing Hunter as a baby and remembering the everyday little details of our life.
  • We have a lot of family out of state and this blog is a great way for them to feel as if they are here with us on a daily basis.
  • Not to mention the demand! I get numerous messages from people wanting me to start the blog back up. I never realized my son leaving a poop trail across my carpet would make this blog so popular :)
Soooo, that is it....it is official!

I AM BACK!!
