Jacquelyn McKenzie
7 lbs 12 oz
19 inches long
So last night after work, Hunter and I made a trip to Jeff City to meet the new baby. But before heading over there, we stop off at the new Wal-Mart. Which I would like to point out….it is awesome! First of all there is like no one there and you practically park right in front of the door. Everything is so new, clean and organized. As we were walking in, I thought “Damn, I have to pee!” and with that a million things starting going thru my mind…”What do I do with Hunter?” “I can’t take my cart in there” “I’m not going to set him on the floor” “Do I keep him on my lap as I tinkle?” Seriously….what do you do!
So as I walked into the bathroom carrying Hunter on my hip, I began strolling past all of the empty stalls deciding that the handicap stall would be best for juggling a toddler as I was trying to take care of business. Anyway, as I went to open the stall door…THERE IT WAS! It was like the gates of heaven opened and a bright light came shinning down with the sound of harps playing in the background. They had a plastic chair (similar to the changing tables in bathrooms) that was bolted to the wall for you to strap your kid into as you went to the bathroom. How freaking awesome is that!!!!!!!! You know it is the little things in life, but this made my day. And because of that I had to take a picture!
Anyway, Thank you Mister Toilet Stall toddler chair/holder inventor!
Ok enough with the bathroom talk! We finally made it over to see baby Jacquelyn. Oh my goodness she is so tiny and cute. Erik is going to be such a great daddy, he just grinned ear to ear the whole time we were there. He was so proud of her and was not afraid to jump in there and change her diaper! It was so crazy to see Hunter next to her. I can’t believe that at Hunter’s smallest he was almost 3lbs less than her, but I know his head was never that small! No offense Hunter, you were just blessed with a large head! Hunter had a great time being in a new place and meeting new people. It wasn’t until we were getting ready to leave that he had had enough. But now I know why, we didn’t even make it onto the Highway and he was asleep. Ah good times!

I had never thought about what you would do with a kid in that situation...I guess sitting him on your lap would be about the cleanest option...but that "invention" is pretty nifty - and he looked happy to be there : )
